I have known Ganesh Osti for nearly 30 years, and since 2008 have worked with him and his wife Juna and son Bimal in their resolve to provide a loving, caring home and family for girls from many districts and ethnic groups in Nepal who have suffered the loss of parents and severe social and economic distress. Ganesh has worked hard to ensure that it is at the request of each girl’s local community that she comes into the MCH family, and that she maintains connection with her community as much as is possible. Ganesh is a keen gardener efficiently producing vegetables for the family kitchen, and also keeping chickens It has been a joy to work with Bimal, as manager, in the financial oversight, and to visit the Home regularly and see the smiling, happy faces of girls ranging in age now from 4 to 18, benefitting from good education and a secure loving family home.
